Recipes

I don't know about you, but I grew up eating fried, fat, floured food, with the addition of lots of produce from the garden. I've given up the fried, fat, floured food, but I still love fresh vegetables and fruit.

I also grew up eating fish right out of the water with hush puppies and cole slaw. I don't eat the fish fried any more, but I do love hush puppies. So, as a young bride, I called my mother on the phone and asked her how to make them. She said, "Well, first you have to know how humid it is....." I knew I was lost. I am now working on the perfect hush puppy recipe, crisp enough, moist enough, with onion and no sugar.

The recipes in this section are from family, both young and old.
